Christopher Benton Hopkins
Christopher B. Hopkins has extensive trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts throughout Florida. He is admitted in Florida, New York, and Washington DC as well as several federal district and appellate courts and the US Supreme Court. He divides his time among appellate, arbitration, and litigation matters. His practice includes commercial, defamation/internet, malpractice, nursing home/ALF, personal injury, privacy, and probate litigation. In addition to his work in the courtroom, Christopher's practice frequently involves emerging technologies, including contract drafting, litigation, and regulation in: app development, bitcoin/virtual currency regulation, defamation, drones, e-discovery, e-retention, EULA drafting, internet crimes, privacy, social media discovery/policy writing, and web contracts. Christopher is a Florida Supreme Court certified civil circuit mediator and qualified arbitrator. He is also a frequent speaker and faculty member for continuing legal education. Christopher attended: University of Richmond (BA); Wesley Theological Seminary (masters); and Tulane Law (JD).
