Board Certified Specialist in Real Estate Law (Florida) “Rising Star” Rating by Super Lawyers AV Preeminent & Client Champion Ratings by Martindale-Hubbell 10.0/10.0 “Superb” & “Top Attorney” Ratings by Avvo

I have focused my practice on issues involving Real Estate Litigation, Transactions, and Government Relations since my career began and, as a result, each new year of practice pays dividends in the knowledge I gain to help future clients in those areas. In addition to that knowledge, I bring, to each project, (1) my extensive training in the law and business of real estate ventures received at the University of Miami’s Masters of Laws (LL.M.) Program in Real Estate; (2) my negotiation and consensus-building skills obtained through my career and at the nationally-recognized dispute resolution program at the University of Missouri, School of Law; (3) my meticulous research habits originally sharpened during my time as a member of the Missouri Law Review; (4) my abilities in financial and policy analysis from my time majoring in Economics; (5) a deep personal creativity from my childhood (and continuing today) as a geek; and (6) my diverse internship and work experiences (from Small Firms and Judicial Internships to Large Firms and Gov’t Agencies) prior to practicing.

I take the time to understand my client’s perspective and, perhaps more importantly, the perspective of those they find themselves negotiating or litigating with. By doing so, I often find solutions that serve the client in unexpected ways.

I am an Executive Council Member (an an appointed Committee Co-Vice Chair and as an elected At Large Member) of the Real Property Probate & Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar and actively attend and participate in various committees and subcommittees thereof including (alphabetically): (1) Condominium & Planned Development; (2) Construction Law Committee; (3) Real Property Litigation, (4) Real Property Problems Study, (5) Title Insurance & Industry Liaison (of which I am a Co-Vice Chair), and (6) Title Issues & Standards Committees. As a part of that work, I do my best to help to protect and advance the laws of Florida that involve real property. As a result of that work, I find myself better informed and equipped to secure my clients’ rights in real property and avoid pitfalls related to their potential obligations related to real property.
